Information the extension processes

The extension processes the hostname of a top-level HTTP or HTTPS navigation to determine whether it matches an enabled entry. It does not need to read page text, form input, messages, or the contents of pages.

The settings you create can include a normalized hostname, whether blocking is enabled, an optional expiration time for a timed entry, and list-order metadata. These values are used only to provide the block-list behavior.

Storage, Sync, and retention

Website Blocker: MT stores its settings in the browser’s built-in extension sync storage. If you turn on your browser’s sync feature, the browser may synchronize those settings between devices signed into your browser account. That browser service is controlled by your browser settings and its provider’s policies.

You can remove a saved entry in the extension settings. Timed entries stop blocking and disappear from the visible list after their deadline; their underlying saved record is not necessarily erased at that moment. Clearing extension data or uninstalling the extension removes locally stored extension data under the browser’s normal behavior.

No developer collection or sharing

The extension has no analytics, advertising, telemetry, browsing-history log, external API call, or developer-operated backend. The developer does not receive the block list, browsing history, or blocking preferences, and does not sell or share them with advertisers or data brokers.

Links to the browser stores, GitHub, or email open only after you choose them. Those services handle connection data under their own policies.

To observe top-level HTTP and HTTPS navigations and compare their hostnames with the block list in the browser.

Storage

To save the hostnames and preferences that you add.

Blocked page

The extension’s own packaged reminder page is available so a blocked navigation can display it.
